No two emerge from the kiln exactly the same. As wood turns to ash in the kiln, it settles on the surface of the piece and forms a natural glaze. Searching for oxygen to burn in the kiln, the fire will draw it from oxides in the clay, leaving warm traces of the flame’s path over the surface.
We also partner with other local artisans and small businesses to offer textiles, one of a kind wood pieces, and to highlight other locally produced comestibles that will put your pottery to good use.
